Hulu joins Youtube TV and Sling as services that won’t carry Royals games.

Hulu announced to customers today that they are the latest streaming service to drop Fox regional sports networks, including Fox Sports Kansas City. YouTube TV nearly dropped the channels before the season, then did drop the channels earlier this month, and Sling TV dropped them last year. DISH Network, a satellite service, also dropped the channels in 2019.

In addition to Fox Sports Kansas City, Hulu will drop other Fox regional sports networks, as well as YES, which carries Yankees games, and Marquee Sports, the new Cubs channel. Here is a complete list of channels Hulu will no longer carry, beginning October 23.

  • FS Arizona
  • FS Detroit
  • FS Florida
  • FS Midwest (including FS Indiana and FS Kansas City)
  • FS North (including FS Wisconsin)
  • FS Ohio
  • FS Prime Ticket
  • FS San Diego
  • FS South (including FS Tennessee and FS Carolinas)
  • FS Southeast
  • FS Southwest (including FS Oklahoma and FS New Orleans)
  • FS Sun
  • FS West
  • Marquee Sports Network
  • SportsTime Ohio
  • YES Network

Hulu will continue to carry Fox, FS and FS1 and other sports channels like ESPN.

Streaming services have begun dropping these channels ever since Sinclair Broadcasting purchased the Fox regional sports networks last year. Sinclair has been known for being a tough negotiator, and it would seem they are asking for higher carrier fees than the streaming services are willing to pay. AT&T TV Now is the only streaming service you will be able to find Fox regional sports networks without a cable subscription, and that service costs $80 per month.
