[Men's Basketball] Men's Basketball fall to Battling Bishops
ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. – The St. Andrews men's basketball team was defeated72-64 by NC Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon at the NC Wesleyan Classic hosted by the Battling Bishops.
How It Happened
The game saw a low-scoring first half between the two teams, as NC Wesleyan entered the half up 37-24 on the Knights, with the Battling Bishops shooting an overall percentage of 45 compared to SAU's 37 percent.
Myron Williams picked up 11 points for the Knights in the first 20 minutes of play, leading St. Andrews in scoring going into the second half, drilling 5 of 7 attempted field goals and a shot from behind the arc.
The Knights improved their shooting significantly, increasing to 50 percent overall and 40 percent from the three-point range, outshooting the Battling Bishops in the second half.
Although the Knights were consistent with their shots in the second half, they were unable to gain the lead, dropping the non-conference game with a score of 72-64.
Knights Leaders
Isaac Clay collected 16 points in the second half to lead the Knights in scoring with 22 points, 3 rebounds, and 5 assists.
Myron Williams finished the game with 15 points, going 7-11 in the paint, while Ahmed Gustave recorded 12 points, an assist, and a steal.

The St. Andrews men's basketball team will next travel to Kentucky Christian on December 14th, as they return to conference play after three consecutive non-conference matchups.
