[Men's Basketball] Men's Basketball Falls to Alice Lloyd

The Brescia men's basketball team lost its home game against River States Conference opponent Alice Lloyd College on December 7, 98-93. 

The Bearcats opened the game up slow offensively, allowing Alice Lloyd to take a 16 point lead at the 11:40 mark in the first half. However, the Bearcats were able to rally and reduce the Eagles' lead to 46-41 at halftime.

The second half saw both teams play a physical, competitive contest. The Bearcats were able to keep itself close throughout the game, but was never able to capitalize on its opportunities enough to take any more than a one point lead. Despite the team's strong performance, Alice Lloyd left the game victorious, 98-93.

Jalen Rose (SO, Cincinnati, Ohio), Kayode Daboiku (SR, Cincinnati, Ohio), and Andres Peralta-Werns (SO, Brookfield, Wis.) led the team in scoring with 27, 26, and 16 points, respectively. Daboiku and Rose also led in rebounds, with 10 and eight, respectively. Damontae Barnhill (JR, Madisonville, Ky.) led the team in assists with seven, followed by Daboiku with five. 

The Bearcats will be back in action at home on December 9 at 7:00 p.m. against Fisk University.
