Brendan McKay struck out nine in five innings for the Montgomery Biscuits (AA). Moises Gomez hit his second homer of the season for Charlotte (A+). Ford Proctor hit his first homer of the season to put Bowling Green (A) ahead in the ninth.

The Durham Bulls had a scheduled day off.
Double-A Montgomery Biscuits (9-8)
The Montgomery Biscuits fell to the Mississippi Braves 2-1 in extras. The Biscuits got on the board first with a first inning run. Lucius Fox led the game off to a walk and moved to third on a sacrifice bunt by Josh Lowe. Dalton Kelly grounded out to put the Biscuits up 1-0. The lead wouldn’t last long as the Braves tied the game in the second. Brendan McKay put together one of his most impressive professional outings going five innings allowing one run (a homer) while striking out nine and walking none. The Biscuits only collected two hits. The Braves took advantage of their runner placed at second to score the walkoff hit in the tenth.

The Charlotte Stone Crabs were defeated by the Tampa Tarpons 9-4. Charlotte trailed entering the ninth 4-3, but a five run inning put the game out of reach. Moises Gomez hit a solo homer in the bottom of the ninth. Ronaldo Hernandez had a three hit evening.

The Bowling Green Hot Rods came from behind for a 3-1 victory over the Fort Wayne TinCaps. Entering the ninth the Hot Rods trailed 1-0. Ford Proctor put the Hot Rods on the board with a game winning home run after Bryce Brown led the inning off with a walk. Roberto Alvarez tacked on an insurance run with an RBI single to score Chris Betts. Easton McGee put up five scoreless innings.
