Jacob Faria and Wilson Ramos both injured in same, miserable inning
At least we got Adames today?
The Rays had a heck of a third inning against the Red Sox on Tuesday, losing both members of their starting battery in a matter of minutes.
So it's a new pitcher and catcher for #Rays in the 3rd with Faria and Ramos leaving with injuries. Sucre takes over behind plate

First, Jacob Faria suffered an oblique injury, and after trying to convince Kevin Cash and Head Athletic Trainer, Joe Benge, that he was fine, he had to be removed. The team has not announced any update yet, but this post will be updated when there is more clarity on the situation. Austin Pruitt came on in relief and got the final out of the third after walking a pair of Red Sox and hitting another.
During that bout of wildness from Pruitt, Wilson Ramos took a bounce in the dirt off his right hand, and HE had to be removed from the game after suffering a contusion. Ramos was in clear discomfort, and he made no such plea to stay in the game. Again, there is not news just yet, but the injury did appear to be in a place where there are plenty of small bones… Not to be fatalistic or anything, but it was just that kind of a third inning.
At least Rays fans can still have a sense of humor about it:
With Faria injured, Rays down to 3 starters: Archer, Snell, and Romo
