LIVE Lakshya Sen vs Tze Yong NG: Almora’s Lakshya Sen has done India proud by winning the Men’s Badminton Singles Gold by beating Tze Yong of Malaysia 19-21, 21-9, 21-. Sen did remarkably well by winning the last two sets in a cliffhanger of a game at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre. Sen was brilliant from the second set onwards as his Malaysian counterpart looked wary after trailing. Tze Yong, however, was brilliant on occasion but in the end, it was a monk-like calmness of Lakshya Sen prevailed. Sen won the crucial rallies and gave India’s back-to-back badminton Gold after PV Sindhu won the women’s final. India now has 21 Gold as they climb to the fourth spot in CWG 2022 Medals Tally.
