0 24

Member Associations from Badminton Pan Am met during the BPAC AGM 2020 Virtual, that was held last Saturday, November 28, with the leadership of BPAC president Mr. Vishu Tolan.

Due the COVID-19, this Annual General Meeting was held virtually with the participation of 23 BPAC Member Associations, the BPAC Executive Committee, BWF colleages and a Scrutineer.

BPAC AGM 2020 Virtual was led by Mr. Vishu Tolan, BPAC president, and Mr. German Valdez, BPAC Chief Operating Officer. As it was virtual, all the associations previously received the reports (check here) of each BPAC area and during the annual meeting they expressed their approval of various points on the agenda.

A scrutineer accompanied the entire meeting, prioritizing transparency in its conduct and in each of the votes cast by the assembly. In addition, the scrutineer supervised the vote of Cuba, a voting country that, due to connection problems, followed the transmission on a special link via YouTube, and expressed his voting intentions directly with the scrutineer.

Also, Mr. Wayne Sommers, BPAC treasurer and BWF Council Member, had a participation during this meeting, answering the only question that was send by the assembly after the reports.

Thank you to all BPAC Member Associations for join us during this AGM 2020, for your support and the commintment with our sport around the region. We look forward to the best times to be able to meet again in person. Please, stay safe.
