VI Jamaica International 2020 Is Coming

A new edition of the Jamaica International 2020 will start tomorrow, at the National Indoor Sport Centre in Kingston, Jamaica, with participation of outstanding players around the world.

Athletes from Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Barbados, Brazil, Bulgary, Canada, Cuba, Czech Republic, Guatemala, Hungary, Japan, Iceland, Italy, Mauritius, Mexico, Peru, Portugal, Russia, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, United States, Wales and host Jamaica will compete from March 5 to 8, looking for points in the Road to Tokyo 2020 Ranking.

Kevin Cordon, Fabiana Silva, Jason Ho-Shue, Daniela Macias, Timothy Lam, Haramara Gaitan, Lino Muñoz,  among others, are the Pan Am players that are fighting for a quota at Tokyo 2020, and will play this event giving their best.

In Men’s Singles, Cordon want to improve the result he got last edition (runner-up), and as seeded one is the favorite to win the gold but he will face Brian and some other eurpean athletes to reach the podium top.

Fabiana Silva is seeded one in Women’s Singles, and will compete against Pan Am players Daniela Macias, Haramara, Disha Gupta and some players from Europe and Asia.

In Women’s Doubles, Daniela Macias /Danica Nishimura and Diana Corleto/Nikte Sotomayor are the favorites duos to win the title, while in Men’s Doubles, Jonathan Solis / Anibal Marroquin and Shae Martin/ Gavin Robinson are seeded one and two respectively.

Jonathan Solis and Diana Corleto won the bronze last year, and this time they want to reach the gold, but have to face experienced duo Matthew Fogarty / Isabel Zhong (seeded one), and some pairs from Jamaica and Barbados.
