Paraguayan Players Won Medals in Dubai

Julio Cesar Gonzales and Leo Lee got bronze medals at Dubai Junior International Series 2019, held in United Arab Emirates from September 11 to 15.

This Junior tournament had the participation of outstanding athletes from Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Bahrain, India, Singapore, Indonesia, Uganda, Nepal, Paraguay and host United Arab Emirates, where our Pan Am player could stand out in Men’s Doubles, reaching Semifinals and getting a bronze medal for our region.

Paraguay duo Gonzales/Lee defeted pairs from United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia to reach the semifinals, where they could not overome Adil Olakara/Aaron Thomas (UAE) winning the 3/4 place medal.

Also, Lian Chen represented Paraguay in this tournament, competing in Men’s Singles with a good victory against a local player. Team Paraguay in Dubai was led by Mr. Kao Chung Lee, president of Paraguay Badminton Federation.
