Shuttlers to depart

KATHMANDU: Nepali badminton players are leaving for the United States and China to participate in international tournaments. Shuttler Sajan Krishna Tamrakar will take part in the Silicon Valley International Badminton Series slated for July 17-21.

Team manager Laba Bhakta Shrestha and official Indra Bahadur Karki will accompany Tamrakar to Claifornia.

The team will leave for the US on Monday. Likewise, Prince Dahal, Prafulla Maharjan, Jessica Gurung and Sima Rajbanshi will take part in the tournament in Chinese city of Suzhou.

Team manager Rohit Tandon and coach Megh Raj Kathayat will accompany the players to China for the July 20-28 tournament. Member Secretary of National Sports Council Ramesh Kumar Silwal bade farewell to both the teams on Sunday.
