Pan Am Badminton Stars at Pan Am Flame Ignition

Pilar Jauregui, Para badminton champion, and Victoria Montero, olympic athlete, participated in the ignition ceremony of the Pan-American flame, held in Teotihuacán, Mexico, today.

Pan Am Para badminton champion and ambassador of Parapan Am Games Lima 2019, Pilar Jauregui, represented our sport that is included for the first time in this important continental event.

Victoria Montero, Mexican olympic player at London 2012 and BPAC University Programme Coordinator, was also present at this ceremony that represents the reaffirmation of unity and brotherhood among the peoples of America.

The Pan-American torch has been lit in Mexico and moved to Cuzco, Peru, to begin a tour until July 26, the day on which the Opening Ceremony of the 2019 Pan-American Games will take place.

The badminton competition starts on July 29, and Para badminton on August 29.
