PV Sindhu may extend her reign as World champion till 2022
PV Sindhu became the first Indian to win a world title in 2019 and was expected to defend the title in 2021 - since Tokyo Games were scheduled for 2020. But with the Olympic Games now rescheduled to July 2021, there is little chance of conducting the badminton Worlds next year. Sindhu has been in quarantine ever since her return from the All England Championships.
