Sports ministry sends 9 names for Padmas — all women
Six-time world champion boxer M C Mary Kom has been recommended for the prestigious Padma Vibhushan award. Reigning world champion, badminton star P V Sindhu, has received the ministry’s nomination for the Padma Bhushan. All nine athletes recommended by the ministry for the Padma awards are women.
