  • The Raceway is partnering with Members 1st Federal Credit Union to provide a VIP experience for unsung heroes in local communities at The Great American Getaway 400 presented by VISITPA NASCAR weekend, set for June 12-14.
  • Fans can nominate a community hero now through April 20 on PoconoRaceway.com.

LONG POND, Pa. (March 25, 2026) – Pocono Raceway is accustomed to having its share of stock-car heroes around during The Great American Getaway 400 presented by VISITPA NASCAR weekend, but this year the spotlight will shine just as brightly on heroes closer to home.

The Raceway is partnering with Members 1st Federal Credit Union on a community heroes program that will reward three deserving recipients with VIP experiences at the June 12-14 NASCAR weekend.

From today through April 20, fans can nominate a deserving hero in their community at PoconoRaceway.com.  It could be a passionate teacher, life-saving first responder, selfless student or a caring neighbor who makes a meaningful impact every day. Each submission will need to include a brief description (500 words or less) outlining why the nominee is deserving of recognition.

“We all know someone who is making a quiet but meaningful difference without ever asking for recognition,” said Michael Wilson, President & CEO of Members 1st Federal Credit Union. “These are the people who lead by example, show up for others and make our communities stronger every day. Through the Community Heroes program and our partnership with Pocono Raceway, we are proud to shine a light on those everyday heroes and celebrate the lasting impact they have on the lives of those around them. It is our way of saying thank you for all they do.”

Pocono Raceway and Members 1st Federal Credit Union will choose three winners – the “Overall Community Hero,” “Above & Beyond Hero” and “Up & Coming Hero” – for the NASCAR weekend that features a race each day.

The action begins with the ARCA Menards Series 150 on Friday, June 12 (3 p.m. ET), followed by the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series MillerTech Battery 250 presented by KOA on Saturday, June 13 (4 p.m.). The weekend culminates with The Great American Getaway 400 presented by VISITPA on Sunday, June 14 (3 p.m.).

The “Overall Community Hero” winner will receive:

  • 2 NASCAR Cup Series garage & pit passes
  • 2 Sunday Terrace Club tickets
  • 2 Saturday 300 Level tickets
  • 2 Friday General Admission tickets
  • $500 Visa Card from Members 1st Federal Credit Union

The “Above & Beyond Hero” and “Up & Coming Hero” will receive the same package, excluding garage and pit access.

“Our race weekends are about more than what happens on the track – they’re about bringing people together and celebrating the communities that support us year-round,” Pocono Raceway President Ben May said. “Through this program with Members 1st Federal Credit Union, we’re proud to recognize those everyday heroes who don’t ask for the spotlight but have certainly earned it. We’re excited to give them an unforgettable Pocono Raceway experience as a small way of saying thank you.”
