2026 Stafford Speedway Driver Preview: Jason Lafayette

Jason Lafayette #55 Tri-State Equipment Repair Limited Late Model

Experience: 1 full season, 1 partial season in Stafford’s Limited Late Model division; 5 partial seasons in SK Light division; 4 full seasons, 3 partial seasons in Street Stock division
2025 stats: 5th in Limited Late Model points; 1 win, 7 top-5’s, 11 top-10’s, avg finish 7.4

2026 outlook: After bouncing between the SK Light and Street Stock divisions for the past 13 seasons, Lafayette made the move into the Limited Late Model division for the 2025 season.  Lafayette enjoyed a solid rookie season, notching his first Limited Late Model win halfway through the year and he ended the year in 5th place in the standings.  Lafayette was consistently quick throughout the 2025 season and if not for 5 finishes of 13th or worse, he might have been a championship contender.  Lafayette should once again be among the quick cars in 2026 challenging for wins and possibly the championship if he can eliminate his poor race finishes.
