Ontario Sportsman Series Signs in at Peterborough Speedway
The 2025 Summer Schedule of ‘Making Memories for Life’ rolls on with the annual visit by the Ontario Sportsman Series – Saturday, August 9th – at Peterborough Speedway.
Heading into the group’s return to Central Ontario, Connor James is the current point leader and enjoys a 48-point cushion over second place runner Brendan Patrick. To date, 19 different teams have scored points in at least one Ontario Sportsman Series event. The driver of the No. 33 machine is the defending race winner heading into the Peterborough Speedway show and has 4 main event triumphs out of the 5 shows during the 2025 schedule.
A former tour champion – who clinched his Sportsman Series crown in 2019 – the Bradford, Ontario native began his OSS career wheeling the No. 4 machine. He also campaigned the No. 71 in relief of 2024 champion Cory McAllister. This season, he’s been running the No. 33 as a tribute to the memory of his father Robert, who passed away earlier this year.
In addition to his 2025 success, James also scored a string of 4 race victories in as many starts last season. 3 of wins came while subbing for McAllister, while the 4th came while running the No. 7 equipment. In each case, he started the group’s headline events no worse than 2nd.
“This year’s runs with the Ontario Sportsman Series have gone very well,” said Connor James. “I never expected that we could win 4 of the first 5 races. I can’t thank Cory and everyone at Two Speed Motorsports for giving me such as great car. I’m looking forward to getting back to Peterborough this weekend. It will be special being at a track where I watched my Dad race when I was younger.”
