FIM-E Rider Update: Team Brothers Reflect and Look Forward

Team Brothers Reflect and Look Forward

It has been a turbulent couple of months for the multinational Team Brothers outfit in the interim between the first and second FIM-E rounds as Margot Schmidt (FIM-E Super Street Bike competitor) explains.

“As you will probably have heard, the team experienced some very sad news a few weeks ago, shortly after the Main Event [FIM-E season opener in May], with Daniel Lencses being unable to finish his race season due to medical reasons. At the moment he is slowly recovering but it’s going to take a while for him to fully recover.

However, this doesn’t mean Team Brothers Dragracing is giving up! Eric Richard [FIM-E Top Fuel Bike] and myself will keep going for the remaining events of the season with help and support in the background from Daniel and his team in Hungary.

Looking back to the Main Event in May, Daniel and Eric did an excellent job and finishing that event with some good numbers despite the meeting coming to a premature finish thanks to rain. Daniel ended up in second spot in the points in FIM-E Super Street Bike while Eric left the meeting in fourth in FIM-E Top Fuel Bike class. I was somewhat less lucky due to a lot of technical issues, and ended up in the 11th spot in FIM-E Super Street Bike.

Eric Richard

Eric had already decided to participate at the Summer Nationals [UK domestic round] at Santa Pod in the beginning of July to do some extra testing. I also signed up for this weekend on the last moment to make sure the bike is ok for Sweden. This appeared to be a good move. Eric ran some very serious numbers with his fastest time of the weekend with a 6.37/223 mph, while I managed to run a 7.08 with an early shut off at 1000 foot so it looks like we’re back on track!

On to our next event in Sweden. Eric and Margot Schmidt will appear with their crew, Franck, Stefan and Robert, on the start line and represent Team Brothers Dragracing the best way they can!

Major thank you to all our sponsors and everyone who supports us:

The 2025 edition of the Summit Racing Equipment Internationals at Tierp looks like it will be a barnstormer, with big entries in all four FIM-E categories. The Team Brothers duo will be looking to make a serious splash at what has provided to be a happy hunting ground for them in previous years.

The next round of the FIM-E Championship heads to Tierp Arena on August 7-10, 2025, where riders will compete for crucial points. Click here for event information.
