Catch Another Round of Ontario Legend Car Action at Peterborough Speedway
For the first time since Dawson Drimmie’s win a few weeks ago, teams with the Trailers Plus Ontario Legend Car Series will return to action Saturday, July 19th at Peterborough Speedway.
Since their last start at the popular Central Ontario oval, the group ran a combination event with the Great Lakes Legends Series at Sunset Speedway. 30 cars took to the track for a 35-lap main event that was won by Dawson Drimmie. Matt Boyes, Jake Spencer-Walt, Cole Kamrath and Mitch Wright completed the top 5. Joe Adams, Parker Traves and Drimmie were the day’s heat race winners.
From the beginning of the schedule, nearly 35 different drivers have scored points in Ontario Legend Car Series action. As impressive as that stat would be on its own, it is overshadowed by the dozen first year runners who are in contention for the 2025 rookie of the year award. Multi generational pilot Jake Spencer-Walt has enjoyed several strong showings throughout the group’s events during his inaugural season and is the top freshman in the field while holding down a spot inside the top 10 in the overall point standings.
Raceday sponsors for this weekend’s Trailers Plus Ontario Legend Car Series visit at Peterborough Speedway are Sidetracked in Muskoka and Firehouse 343. The Saturday, July 19th line-up will also include the home track SwitchTire Mini Stock and Jiffy Lube Super Stock divisions, plus the GEN-3 Electric OMRS SportsMods and the Ontario Bandolero Series, presented by Pigeon River Promotions. Spectator gates open at 5:00, with racing at 6:00.
