Meghan Fuller Eyes First Win of 2025 in July 11 SK Light Double Down at Stafford

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Meghan Fuller has been one of the top SK Light competitors at Stafford Speedway this season with 4 top-5 and 5 top-10 finishes in 6 starts thus far.  Fuller and the #2 Propane Plus team currently sit third in the points standings but one thing missing from their 2025 results is a victory.  Fuller has been close to reaching NAPA Victory Lane this season with a second and third place finish among her 4 top-5 finishes.  She feels like her first win of the 2025 season is close at hand and that first win could come this Friday night, July 11th in the extra distance 40-lap Monaco Ford SK Light Double Down.

“Up to this point we’ve had a pretty good season,” said Fuller.  “The first few races we had some mechanical problems, but we figured those out pretty quickly and we’ve been able to have some pretty consistent finishes.  I think we’re pretty close to getting our first win this season and I really hope that first win comes soon for us so I can show off all the hard work that my team puts in each and every week.  Thanks to Keith Rocco Racing, my Dad, my brother, Chris, Propane Plus, Interstate Transmission, PT Watts, AZ Roofing, Spear Bros Tree Service, Metro Door, Gary Rice, Jason and Wally Koza, TFR, Jeff Howey, Brian Simoniz, and Renee and Ed for all their support.”

When it comes to extra distance racing, some drivers might not like the longer races, but Fuller feels right at home in a longer race.  Fuller showed her extra distance strength during her time in the Street Stock division, recording a win, three second place finishes, and a third place finish along with a sixth place finish in six 30-lap events, and she has a best finish of 5th in 40-lap SK Light races.

“I think we’re looking pretty good,” said Fuller.  “We usually do well in the longer distance races and we’re usually one of the top competitors.  I think the longer races fit my driving style a little better than some of our other competitors because we’ve figured out what works best for the car in the longer races.  A win in this race would be pretty big for us.  We’d all be very excited to be in victory lane.”

Fuller’s next SK Light victory would be her second career SK Light win after winning her first race during the 2023 season.  Despite her victory drought, she feels like her team and car are right where they need to be in order to keep on having good finishes while chasing her next feature victory.

“I don’t think we’re really lacking anything,” said Fuller.  “Keith Rocco works very hard on the car and a lot of it just comes down to where you are in the field and what goes on during the race.  In our last race we lost power steering in the car and we only lost two spots and still ended up finishing sixth.”

In addition to chasing down her next win, Fuller is looking to continue her consistent finishes this season to remain in the highest reaches of the SK Light standings.

“We try to not really focus on points until it gets closer to the end of the year,” said Fuller.  “We’re looking to have more consistent finishes and just have some fun out there.”

The SK Lights will be joined this Friday, July 11th by Stafford’s SK Modified, Late Model, Limited Late Model, and Street Stock divisions along with the Kids Big Wheel race that was originally scheduled for July 3rd.  Tickets for the Monaco Ford SK Light Double Down are available now online at StaffordSpeedway.com/tickets and can also be purchased at the admission gates.
