‘Legends of Schenley Park’ to Add It’s 66th Member This July
Honoring Our Racing Heritage
To honor their commitment, we launched the “Legends of Schenley Park” in 2016, recognizing drivers who have competed with us for 15 or more years.
This year, we welcome a new name to the Legends roster: Stephen Morici. His induction brings the total number of Legends to 66—and makes him the fourth Morici to earn this distinction!
The Morici family of Clifton, New Jersey, just outside New York City, has been an integral part of the PVGP since nearly the start. Jerry Morici, the family patriarch, raced in the first PVGP in 1983 and has completed 29 events in all. He was joined by his son Christopher (31 races), brothers Todd (2 races) and his son Drew (1 race) and now Stephen (with 15 races), and nephew Christian (18 races). The Morici’s have made the PVGP a true family tradition for over four decades.

For the Morici’s, racing has never been solely about podium finishes. It’s about shared experiences, the camaraderie of the paddock, and the joy of connecting with fans, especially children who light up when invited to sit behind the wheel of a vintage race car. Stephen describes the rush of driving as his car bursts from the shaded road into a sun-drenched field lined with cheering fans as one of the most motivating and magical moments of the weekend.
