Emilia Romagna GP: Double points for Williams Racing

The Atlassian Williams Racing Team would come away with another double points result in the 2025 Emilia-Romagna GP. Alex Albon would again finish 5th while team-mate Carlos Sainz was 8th. Both drivers would have very different races with Carlos pitting early to change from a medium tyre to the hard while Alex would go longer on the same medium tyre. Both drivers would have to contend with firstly a VSC then a full Safety Car which saw both Alex and Carlos pit seeing both drivers finish with a two stop strategy. For Carlos, despite not been the only one to pit early, his stop to change off the medium was probably an incorrect call. Add onto this was the impact of the VSC and Safety Car which did help out Alex especially later in the race as it allowed him to pit again to swich to a new set of hards. It could be said that the team could have seen Carlos finish a few places higher but regardless it was still a great result for the team that improved their position in their 5th in the WCC.
