Cornwall Motor Speedway 2025 season preview: Rick’s Ranch Mini-Stocks

Cornwall, ON – Monday, April 14, 2025 – Martin Belanger – We are less than 1 month away from our 2025 season opener, it is now time to start the season preview, and we kick off with the Rick’s Ranch Mini-Stock. Great things are expected for the entry level division at the speedway!

A new track champion will be crowned in 2025 with Brandon McMillan stepping away from racing this year, this will open the bids as many candidates are raising their hands to take the crown! Travis Lamarche comes in as one of the favorites after finishing in second place last season but many drivers such as Antoine Dumouchel, Christopher Proulx and Carl Gorry for example will be there and ready to give Lamarche a go for the title. Other than the 2024 champion, all drivers from the top 10 in points are expected to come back on a regular basis this summer!

Along with top 10 finishers from last year, we are expecting another solid field of cars as the group should be north of 15 cars on a steady base. Like every year, we should see some new faces in the field making the hunt for the title interesting and adding some other surprise entries might be adding to the mix with Brockvile, Granby or Brighton regulars making the haul occasionally for some events. 

The Mini-Stock division will have 13 events scheduled in the regular season including four 25-lap feature events with three being part of the new Weekend Warriors Series that many drivers have put together bringing more than $3,000 in prize and bonus awards. These races will attract many invaders, and we could see fields of 25 cars on these nights. The class will also be part of the 6th edition of the Canadian Super DIRT Weekend in October as the Weekend Warriors Series champion will be crowned as well. 

A big year is expected and a lot of action as all the teams has put a lot of effort in preparing the best car possible for the season.
