Lotus ‘ legacy in Formula One is unmatched, with 79 worldwide championship race wins, seven constructor’s titles, and six World Drivers’ Championships. Colin Chapman’s revolutionary designs won races and transformed the sport, captivating fans and competitors alike.

Lotus of Pittsburgh will proudly sponsor the 2025 Lotus Marque celebration. This marks a significant return, as Lotus was the first marque the PVGP honored 40 years ago in 1985. Lotus enthusiasts and automotive fans can look forward to a thrilling lineup of events throughout the 43rd Grand Prix Race Week, July 11 – 20. Here is the Lotus-related activities schedule – registration opens on February 1.

Expect an exciting showcase of British racing legends on the racetrack, featuring iconic Lotus models such as the Seven, FJ18, 23, 51, and Elan. Lotus owners are encouraged to register their vehicles, participate in the festivities, or attend as enthusiastic spectators.

The Marque of the Year display will be on the Bob O’Connor Golf Course beside the British Car Show during the July 19-20 Race Weekend in Schenley Park. Registration covers the entire weekend, giving participants the unique opportunity to park their Lotus on the golf course in the middle of the International Car Show, offering a stunning view of the track.

Featured Artist: Guy Allen
Renowned international artist Guy Allen designed the poster. A lifelong automotive enthusiast, Guy’s passion was ignited by witnessing the thrilling 1983 RAC Rally, where Finland’s Hannu Mikkola raced the iconic Audi Quattro. Today, Guy is a full-time illustrator and regular Classic & Sports Car magazine contributor, with clients including Lotus, Porsche, Mazda, Audi, and The Petersen Museum. He also created PVGP’s celebrated BMW poster in 2018.

Guy was born in Manchester, United Kingdom, but grew up near the Silverstone race circuit, home of the British Grand Prix. Today, Guy lives in Kent but is not far from Goodwood, where he regularly attends its Festival of Speed, the annual hillclimb featuring historic race cars and drivers.

The poster features two Lotus race cars navigating Schenley Park: a green 1967 Lotus 51A driven by Scott Ryan, reminiscent of the open-wheel racer in the PVGP logo, and a 1971 Lotus Elan piloted by longtime PVGP racer Joe Mendel. A red Lotus Seven is shown cresting the hill with the spectators in the background. Look for all of these Lotus cars racing through the streets of Schenley Park July 19-20.

Join us in celebrating Lotus’s remarkable legacy and thrilling future at the 2025 Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix!
