LANE AUTOMOTIVE BRACKET SERIES HEATS UP AT US 131

Three Separate Events Scheduled During Annual Racers Appreciation Weekend~ Early season point leaders try to put some distance between themselves and their pursuers this week when US 131 Motorsports Park plays host to the third, fourth and fifth races in the 2024 Lane Automotive Bracket Series as part of the annual Memorial Weekend Racer Appreciation shootout.

After a Friday test-and-tune session and golf cart race, Box, No Box, Sportsman and Jr. Dragster champions in Masters, Advanced and Beginner categories will be crowned in races on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

In addition to Lane Automotive points, there will be a load of cash on the line each day including $3,000 to the Box and No Box winners on Sunday; $2,500 on Saturday and $1,500 on Monday.

In addition to the standard Lane Automotive program, Racer Appreciation weekend will include bonus events each day – Mojo Q16 races on Saturday and Monday and a 660 Shootout on Sunday.

Stan Jones Jr. of Byron Center enters the weekend as the No Box point leader while former track champ Andy Wroblewski of Laporte, Ind., and Steve Vandersloot of Kalamazoo are the co-leaders in the Box category.  Jim Klimp of Portage is the early Sportsman leader.

Jr. Dragster point leaders include James Peterson and sister Rebekah of Plainwell in the Beginner and Advanced classes, respectively, and Bronson’s Danika Cox in Jr. Masters.

The Sportsman winner will earn $350 on Saturday and Monday and $400 on Sunday while Jr. Dragster winners will take home $150 to $400 depending upon category and day of the event with the biggest payouts on Sunday.

Weekend pit passes are 4-day $50, 3-day $45, Saturday or Sunday $15 each day.
