Van der Garde & Pierson Join Heriau At TDS Racing

Giedo van der Garde and Josh Pierson will join the already announced Francois Heriau in the #35 TDS Racing Oreca for the full IMSA Weathertech Sportscar Championship in 2023.

The Dutch ex F1 racer and 2016 ELMS Champion stays aboard a TDS-operated car as the squad expands to a two-car IMSA operation despite the apparent demise of the Racing Team Nederland operations where van der Garde formed a key part of the driving punch in the WEC and IMSA.

16 year old Josh Pierson moves over from PR1 Mathiesen for the season after an opening year in LMP2 that saw him score race wins in the Asian Le Mans Series with United Autosports and a full season in the FIA WEC including a start at Le Mans that saw him installed as the youngest ever driver to do so.

A fourth driver for Daytona will be announced later.
