Just 30 days to Bennetts BSB raceday.

Time’s a-ticking as the say! With just 30 days until we welcome the Bennetts British Superbike Championship to Knockhill for Round 4 – The AB2K Round – of the 2022 season, we’re all busy making preparations for the arrival of one of our biggest events of the season.

What’s especially nice this year, is that we are all every excited at the prospect of welcoming back all the fans who have sadly missed this event over the past three years. We’re looking back our old planning documents and figuring out new ways to improve not only the event, but the entire experience for race fans.

Bennetts British Superbike Event at Knockhill

With Event Scotland backing, we’ll be adding additional entertainment to the day for all the family. Bundle that together with what is already a thrilling race event, the Bennetts BSB at Knockhill in 2022 will be back with a bang.

And, better still, with Tarran Mackenzie returning to the fray this weekend at Donington Park, we’ll have a Scottish BSB Champion, flying the saltire and running that coveted No.1 plate around the twists and dips of Knockhill for the first time in a long while.

Given the performance of the McAMS team last year, with both Tarran and Jason O’Halloran running so strongly, you’ve have been forgiven for thinking this year would be a foregone conclusion… but it’s not.

Yes, a Yamaha still sits abreast of the field, but it’s the black and gold liveried Yamaha of Brad Ray and the Rich Energy OMG Racing squad. Closely followed by Honda’s Glen Irwin – fresh from his North West 200 win he’ll be confident of even more silverware this weekend at Round 3. Glenn will also make his way to Knockhill riding the super-high emotions of making his Isle of Man TT debut in the not too-distant future. And then, in third place we have our own Rory Skinner – who made such an impact at Knockhill last year. Indeed, you can catch up with all his Knockhill exploits in Episode 4 of our five-part Event Scotland mini-series we created last year.

Out with the top three, we have an incredible line up of riders this year, BSB and World Superbike Champions, new up and coming riders and some of the fastest road racers on the planet will also be here straight after their TT heroics – it really will be a fantastic weekend of racing action.

Just one point of note. Access to Friday 17th June (practice day) will only be available to weekend and BSB camping purchasers. We are not selling single day passes for the Friday just Saturday and Sunday for those). So, if you want to enjoy three days of 180 mile per hour action from the spectator bankings, make sure you book your weekend option.

We’re all very excited about the event and we hope you are too.
