chevy silverado 1500 lift kits

I have a question that im hoping the community around here can point me in the right direction. I have a 2011 Chevy Silverado 1500 Ext. Cab, right now it is completely stock. When the stock tires wear out, im planning to buy a new set of rims/tires for it. Along with a lift. As you are aware, stock trucks have this funky look to it where the back end sits higher than the front. Im not sure if this is done because of towing(towing something heavy drops the back down). Instead of giving it a leveling kit, I was thinking of just getting a 3 inch lift in the front only.( 2 inches level the truck +1 inch would give it that aggressive BAJA stance-Cali Style). Im not sure if there where or who i could talk to about this so i joined this forum. Any websites, or personal viewpoints would be appreciated.
