$3,000-to-win ‘Crate Nationals’ scheduled SATURDAY, NOV. 3 at Volunteer Speedway BULLS GAP, Tenn.  — The 45th season of racing at Volunteer Speedway began back in March on a sunny afternoon, and the curtain will close on the current campaign SATURDAY, NOV. 3 with running of the Tennessee Crate Nationals. Race fans, this will be your final opportunity to see racing at Volunteer Speedway until 2019. Tell your family, friends, neighbors and co-workers all about the Tennessee Crate Nationals at “The Gap,” because it’s going to be a must-see, outstanding show with expected excellent car count in each division. The 2018 season finale at Volunteer Speedway features a five division racing program: The “Tennessee Crate Nationals” for Crate Late Model headline the show paying $3,000-to-win and $300-to-start (50 laps). Also in action on the high banks will be Modified Street ($1,000-to-win … 25 laps), Sportsman Late Model ($800-to-win … 25 laps), Open Wheel Modified ($700-to-win … 25 laps), and Classic ($500-to-win … 25 laps). … *** No entry fee in any class! *** *** Volunteer Speedway rules apply, and to view rules please visit the website (2018 Track Rules in the RULES drop-down menu). Lawn chairs are permitted in the grandstands. Coolers are permitted in the pit area and the backstretch tier-parking, however, no glass containers allowed. Directions to Volunteer Speedway: South on Interstate 81 from Tennessee/Virginia state lines, take Exit 23 (Bulls Gap/Greeneville), then turn right onto Hwy. 11-E at bottom of the exit ramp. Look for track entrance approximately 200 yards on left. North on Interstate 81 from I-81/I-40 split (East of Knoxville, TN), take Exit 23, then turn left onto Hwy. 11-E at bottom of the exit ramp.
