Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Series $3,500-to-win Super Late Model scheduled MONDAY, JULY 16 at Volunteer Speedway BULLS GAP, Tenn. — Volunteer Speedway will host the Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Series presented by Sunoco Race Fuels and Tennessee RV Supercenter for a $3,500-to-win Super Late Model show on MONDAY, JULY 16, with the series making its first visit back to “The Gap” since the 2013 racing season. Also racing Monday night besides Super Late Models will be Crate Late Model, Sportsman Late Model and Modified Street. Adult grandstand admission MONDAY, JULY 16 is $15, with kids 12-and-under admitted free (when accompanied by an adult). Adult pit and tier-parking admission $35, with kids 12-and-under $15 (with an adult signed release). Grandstand, pit and tier-parking gates open at 4 p.m. Drivers meeting scheduled for 7 p.m., to immediately be followed by hot laps, qualifying and green flag racing. Previous Southern Nationals Series winners at Volunteer Speedway are Jimmy Owens (2006 & ’07), Tommy Kerr (’08 & ’09), Jonathan Davenport (2010), Chris Madden (’11), Casey Roberts (’12) and Vic Hill (’13). The Schaeffer’s Oil Southern Nationals Series presented by Sunoco Race Fuels and Tennessee RV Supercenter two-week summer tour features 11 Super Late Model special events across the Southeast between July 14-28. Races will be held in Georgia, Tennessee and Virginia.
