Sup guys. This morning had that delightful feeling where you wake up and try to remember why you’re vaguely upset as you turn on the shower and oh no it’s all coming back James Paxton got hurt and they lost to the Athletics again and how am I even going to make it to the kitchen for coffee when all of existence is a meaningless wander through a brackish swamp? But here we are, here you are, and here the Mariners are. First, the news:

Now, the lineups.
Personally, I’d have Denard Span or Cameron Maybin in there over Dee Gordon. In fact I’d probably put Dee on the DL, as his shoulder and toe give him cover to go there and he certainly seems like someone who could use 20 rehab assignment at bats right now, then come back right when rosters expand. Unfortunately Scott Servais won’t listen to my voicemails (I assume) and here we are. Boo, Scott Servais. Go, Mariners. Win the series. Or the last game. Whatever.
