European Athletics U20 Championships starts in Jerusalem

JERUSALEM, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- The 2023 European Athletics U20 Championships commenced at Jerusalem's Givat Ram Stadium on Monday, featuring 1,157 athletes from 44 countries and regions.

A standout name in the four-day contest is Dutch up-and-comer Niels Laros, holder of the European under-20 season's best in the 800m, 1,500m, and 5,000m events. Laros will compete in these three disciplines in Jerusalem.
