Athletics SS Elvis Andrus placed on paternity list
The Oakland Athletics placed shortstop Elvis Andrus on the paternity list prior to Saturday's road game against the Texas Rangers.
Andrus can miss up to three games while on the paternity list. He reportedly will miss three and return for Tuesday night's game against the White Sox in Chicago.
Oakland recalled infielder Vimael Machin from Triple-A Las Vegas in a corresponding move.
