Hogs have Good Showing at SMU & Senior Day
Fayetteville, Ark.– The Razorbacks divers had a great showing at the dive competition at SMU this weekend. Mayson Richards had an outstanding showing as she qualified for NCAA Zones in the 1-meter and 3-meter. Although, the Razorback swimmers did not have a true meet due to inclement weather Senior Kobie Melton and Sophomore Bradi Jones managed to get multiple wins intrasquad meet.
“What a great day for our senior class! We all had fun and made some memories for all seven of those special ladies! It was unfortunate for Arkansas Little Rock that the weather prevented them from staying here to swim the meet., said Coach Harper.” “Recognizing our seniors while their families were here in town was the number one priority! We continued with the meet and divided our team into Red and White so they could compete in their scheduled events against each other!”
“I’m really proud of our ladies. They did a fantastic job. This was a great start to the new year, Coach Sanchez stated.”
Hog Highlights
- Senior Kobie Melton had wins in the 200 Freestyle and 200-yard Backstroke
- Sophomore Bradi Jones picked up wins in 200 Breaststroke and 100 Breaststroke
- Senior Vanessa Herrmann had a win in 500 Freestyle
- Senior Andrea Sansores picked up a win in the 100-yard Butterfly
- Sophomore Mayson Richards qualified for NCAA Zone Championship with her score of 291.15 in 1-meter and score of 310.20 in the 3-meter.
- Sophomore Mayson Richards also picked up a win in the 1-meter on Saturday.
