Razorbacks Earn Scholar All-America Honor

Fayetteville, Ark.- The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) announced Tuesday evening that Arkansas was named a Scholar All-America Team for grades posted in the fall of 2020.

The Razorback swimmers and divers posted a 3.51 GPA. There were 32 participants and 95% of those made the SEC Fall Honor Roll. Eleven student-athletes earned a 4.0 GPA, and 21 students earned a 3.5 GPA or better. The 3.51 GPA was good enough for a sixth-place finish in the SEC.

The teams represent 480 institutions from across all NCAA, NAIA and NJCAA Divisions. The CSCAA recognizes teams with the Scholar All-America Award for achieving a team GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming Coaches Association of America – the oldest organization of college coaches in America – is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming and diving at the collegiate level.

Quotables

Head Coach Neil Harper: “The high standards that this team displays continue to make me proud. With so many of our ladies earning above a 3.5 and 11 of them achieving a 4.0 it is obvious that their dedication is creating great results. We continue our program’s goals and traditions of being one of the best scholar-athlete teams by being ranked in the top 20 coaches poll and achieving again above a 3.5 GPA.”
