The three others were Francis Plaza, PayMongo founder; Louise Mabulo, The Cacao Project founder; and Breech Asher Harani, multimedia Artist of Alexandrite Pictures.

Forbes on Thursday bared its fifth annual “30 Under 30 Asia” list, featuring 300 young entrepreneurs, leaders and changemakers across Asia, all under the age of 30, who are challenging conventional wisdom and rewriting the rules for the next generation.

The Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia Class of 2020 features bright and innovative leaders “who are ready and equipped to adapt to whatever the future may hold,” with 30 honorees selected for each of the 10 categories.

The categories are the arts (art and style, and food and drink); entertainment and sports; finance and venture capital; media, marketing and advertising; retail and e-commerce; enterprise technology; industry, manufacturing and energy; health care and science; social entrepreneurs; and consumer technology.

Japanese Ambassador to the Philippines Koji Haneda on Oct. 17, 2019 hosted a ceremony for Yulo at his residence. Yulo also secured a spot for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics in the same competition.

Haneda commended Yulo for his efforts in enhancing the relationship between Japan and the Philippines. Yulo has been training in Japan since 2016 with Japanese coach Munehiro Kugimiya.

Yulo, 19, was acknowledged by the global media company for his achievements in the 2019 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships and the 30th Southeast Asian Games.

On the other hand, Didal, 20, delivered one of the country’s four gold mints in the 2018 Asian Games with a dominating performance in the women’s street category.

The Cebuana skateboarder also snared two golds from the street and game of S.K.A.T.E competitions in the regional biennial meet.

Didal is currently training for Olympic qualifying tournaments.

“This year’s Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list-makers inspire optimism in what is promising to be a tough year ahead. They are a resilient and energetic bunch who are facing challenges head-on and actively working for a future that matches their aspirations,” said Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia editor Rana Wehbe.
