Spring 2019 Star League Championships
On June 1st, SGA Ballard hosted our Spring 2019 Star League Championships! Nine teams competed; two in Single A, four in Double A, and three in Triple A. All of our gymnasts did such a wonderful job and it was a close competition! In the Single A division, two Lake City (LKC) teams competed for the title! Coach Tara’s team “The Lightning Bolts” placed 1st with Coach Melinda’s “Spy-tastic Gymnastic Glitter Girls” placing 2nd. The Double A division had two teams from Lake City, one team from Ballard (BAL), and one team from Columbia City (CC) competing. Coach Melinda’s “Backbending Bunnies” (LKC) placed 4th, Coach Kim’s “Chalk Monsters” (CC) placed 3rd, and Coach Misa’s “Mini Misa’s” (LKC) placed 2nd. Taking home 1st place was Coach CJ’s team, “The Bending Bunnies” (BAL)! First and second place were only separated by 0.7! Triple A was a super close competition as well! All three teams were within one point of each other! Coach Misa’s “Cotton Candy Crushers” (LKC) placed third, Coach Noor’s “Great Minds Do Not Think Alike” (CC) placed second, and Coach Melinda’s “Ten Neon Fluff Balls” (LKC) placed 1st. It was a great day for gymnastics and we are so proud of all of our gymnasts who competed at championships and throughout the season!
