Have-A-Go Heroes!
A HUGE ‘Thank You’ to everyone who helped with the set up, running and packing away of the Have-A-Go last Sunday afternoon (15th)
It was a real shame that the weather was so inclement, and in the end only few hardy souls turned up to try their hand at archery. However many turned up there was a huge amount of work in setting it up, manning and putting away, but because so many members stepped up to help, the work was not too onerous!
CAN YOU HELP at the next Have A Go on Sunday 5th June?
As part of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations happening at Manor Fruit Farm on Sunday 5th June, GAC has agreed to put on a Have-A-Go event for residents of Normandy and nearby villages. The format of the event will be very similar to last Sundays, taking place at GAC on the Sunday afternoon between 2.00 and 4.00.
We will need volunteers to help with setting out the targets, safety fencing and equipment, greeting guests, providing instruction on shooting, collecting arrows and putting away at the end. We will need to start at 12.00 with the setting up, and should be finished by 5.00.
