1. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by the President at 7:00pm
2. CHAIRMAN’S OPENING REMARKS
The president welcomed everyone to the first board meeting since the AGM.
3. CORRESPONDENCE
There is no official correspondence to report.
4. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING
No minutes for approval.
5. REPORTS
All reports and balance sheets up to date.
6. BUSINESS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES
No business arising from the minutes.
7. NEW BUSINESS
a. 2022 BC Indoor Tournament, April 16/17
Club will apply to Archery BC to host this event. Moved by Billy Sanderson, seconded by Andrew Engelhardt. Al Wills looking at Eagle Ridge Community Centre (City Centre Park) as the potential venue. Al Wills to complete the application and submit it to Archery BC, the selection/decision will be made at their January Board meeting.
b. Other events – Regional Indoor March 6, 2022/MICA 2022
Club will look at assisting Cowichan Archery Club if they agree to host this event. TBD
c. Honorary Memberships
Agreed to confer on non-shooting, long-standing volunteer Kendra S.
d. Membership Renewal Process
End of the year coming up, membership renewal reminders to be sent to membership soon. Members can renew by simply following the ‘join’ instructions on the website.
e. Indoor shoots – timings/shooting control
More volunteers needed to help run indoor shoots. Request to be included in next club email (membership renewal reminder), along with info and link to the Archery Canada Range Safety Officer. There is also a need for provincial judges for upcoming tournaments. Call for volunteers also to be added to next email.
f. Open discussion on our future plans
Will be requesting that Saanich Commonwealth extend our indoor shoots through the summer of 2022.
