Come to our spooktacular AGM!!

As you know, the Club’s AGM is on Saturday the 30th of October, and I really hope that you have put the date in your diary, and make time to read the committee member reports!

As well as encouraging you to come to the AGM, I also wanted to let you know about the other things that will be happening at the Club before and after the meeting.

Halloween Shoot
In the afternoon of the 30th October we will be holding a Halloween shoot. Using fibreglass ‘Have A Go’ bows, we will be shooting at our fabulous spooky targets, created by John Davis, which include a giant spider’s web, a ghostly castle and the scary devil’s mouth!

There are no winners or losers, just the fun of shooting at something very different from the usual target faces! We will start at 4pm and finish as the light goes (probably about 5.30pm) which should give us time to pack up before crossing to the Bowls Club for the AGM.

Annual General Meeting
Our club has been through a very challenging period over the last 20 months, and come through with our membership numbers close to pre-Covid levels, a very active Junior section, and an increasing number of members shooting regularly and entering competitions. We think that all of this is a cause for a bit of a celebration, so we want to add a more social feel to the AGM, covering the necessary business of course, but also with an emphasis on relaxation and chat, and to aid that, there will be a cash bar and some finger food so that we can all relax!

The plan for the evening is approximately as follows:
6.00: Arrive at Normandy Bowls Club
6.00 – 6.30: Drinks and chat
6.30 – 7.00: First half of AGM business
7.30 – 8.30: Drinks, food and chat
8.30 – 9.00: Second half of AGM business
