Annual General Meeting Minutes – Thursday 23 September 2021

1. Call to Order

The meeting was called to order by the President at 7:00pm

2. Chairman’s Opening Remarks

The president welcomed everyone to the meeting and thanked them for their attendance. 

3. Attendance

Al Wills, Mary Wills, Greg Birtwistle, Brad Barclay, Ralph Clark, Billy Sanderson, Al Anderson, Andrew Engelhardt, Liana Tupper, Lisa Lange, Frank, Perry, Mark Shields, Angela Scammell/Cramer, Edward (Ted) Minnie, Larry Gagnon, Helena Myllyniemi, Ellen Vander Hoek, Gabrielle Courtorielle, Hugh Williams, Jarrod Ball, Greg Fong, Kendra Savich.

4. Approval of the Minutes of the Previous AGM

5. Reports

President: While the loss of the potential property in Langford was disappointing the club will continue to look for options. Our containers are now stored in Metchosin; should anyone require access they need to contact Bruce Somers. 

Vice-President: Thank you everyone for your hard work over the last year.

Treasurer: There were very few events run this past year due to COVID-19 but the club came out with a small profit and classes at Saanich Commonwealth are looking very promising with high attendance and long waiting lists. 

Membership Director: A few memberships have been purchased recently and the membership programs are running smoothly.

Webmaster: The website is functioning well on computers and smartphones with lots of visits to lessons page. 

6. Business Arising from the Minutes

• Property move: The club was unable to find a new property for an outdoor range but will continue to look while shooting takes place indoors. 
• Indoor shooting: Indoor shooting will take place on Thursdays and Sundays at Saanich Commonwealth place. Adults will be required to show vaccine passports and ID and masks will be worn when not shooting.

7. New Business
   1. New Bylaws: the new bylaws were reviewed and accepted.

Members made observations on club issues. The Board of Directors conferred an Honorary Life Membership to Greg Birtwistle.
