0 19

Dear Members

As we embark on another lockdown, and our club is once again shut down, I hope that you are all keeping safe and well, and that the arrival of the vaccine will be soon!

In the mean time, your committee will continue to meet online and ensure the smooth running of our club so that once the restrictions are lifted, we will be able to quickly return to shooting.

Whilst we may not be able to shoot, there are always things that we can do to maintain out archery fitness and look after our equipment so that we are as ready as possible to pick where we left off once the ground is open.

With that in mind, we will share with you any snippets of advice from the clubs coaches, committee and Archery GB that we think may be useful.

Archery GB will be running a webinar series of lockdown learning with something for everyone – https://www.archerygb.org/clubs-facilities-development/clubs/club-resources/club-training-programme/

We will also run Mobility Monday and Workout Wednesday sessions on our Facebook page and YouTube channel so you can keep up your bow training and fitness from your home or garden.

Once again taking care of your mind as well as your body has never been more important. Last year Sport and Performance Psychologist Sarah Huntley provided us with her three top tips for you to maintain your mental health, focus your training and ultimately benefit from this time spent at home – https://www.archerygb.org/mental-health-positive-thinking-under-
