Now we are back on the range, how about a bit of competition?

Now that we are back to shooting again, why not consider shooting a round when you next book a session? – it may be winter, but there are plenty of opportunities to submit a score over the coming months:

OPTION 1: SHOOT  ANYTIME

GAC Monthly Frostbite – 30metres (outdoor only)

3 dozen arrows (6 arrow ends) at 30metres shooting at an 80cm target face (Metric scoring). You have one end of 6 arrows for sighters.

If you shoot this round, please complete a written score sheet (blanks available by the front door in the clubhouse) and put your checked and signed score sheet into the Records Officers pigeon hole by the front door.

Please then enter the details of your round into the online record form so that we can add it to our monthly team entry – this form can be accessed On this link

All scores are important and useful, and this is definitely suitable for every member of the club regardless of age, gender, bow style or experience! At the end of each month, we will publish all of the submitted scores on the website so that you can see how you did!

 

OPTION 2: SHOOT  ANYTIME

GAC Monthly Portsmouth – 20 yards (indoor or outdoor)

5 dozen arrows (3 arrow ends) at 20 yards shooting at a 60cm target face (Metric scoring). You have 2 ends of 3 arrows for sighters.

If you shoot this round, please complete a written score sheet (blanks available by the front door in the clubhouse) and put your checked and signed score sheet into the Records Officers pigeon hole by the front door.

OPTION 3: SHOOT  ANYTIME

AGB 300 Online Challenge – 18metres (indoor or outdoor)

30-arrows shot over 18metres at any 40cm official target face (3 spot, vertical, triangular or single full face).

OPTION 4: SHOOT  ONE SUNDAY PER MONTH

AGB Winter Outdoor Postal League – 50metres (seniors) 30metres (under 16)

The round to be shot once a month in December through to March 2021: SUNDAY 20th DECEMBER, SUNDAY 24th JANUARY, SUNDAY 21st FEBRUARY, SUNDAY 21st MARCH – all shot during the 10am-12pm session

• Clubs to shoot as a team, once per month, the monthly results will form a national league.
• A round will be 36 arrows, shot in 6 ends of 6 arrows 4 minutes per end.
• A team will consist of up to 6 archers.
• Must have a minimum of:
  • 1 female
  • 1 unsighted
  • And a maximum of 2 compounds per team.
• Compounds – shooting at a distance of 50m on any 80cm or target face.
• Recurve, Bare bow & Longbow – shooting at a distance of 50m on a 122cm face.
• Youth Archers under 16 – Shooting at 30m on the appropriate target face to style.
