Covid 19 Restrictions update

Dear Members,

Firstly, we, as a committee, would like to thank everyone who has played a part in making it a success!

In line with the easing government guidelines the committee have taken the decision to amend certain restrictions currently in place for shooting at the club:

• Benches may be used – one household per bench – at members’ discretion with the understanding that they are not being disinfected. All social distancing and hygiene measures should still be maintained.
• Archery GB have released guidelines which allow some coaching to take place with social distancing and other measures in place. Please ensure to note the name of the person who will be coaching you in the comment box when signing up for the session on our online sign up utility (link below).
• The club is now open 7 days a week with the same slot booking system in place, which can be found here: click here for the online sign-up utility.
• Weekday sessions can have shooting Field Captains running each session and weekend sessions should still have a Non-shooting Field Captain for every session.

If this is your first session back, please try and come to at least 1 weekend session first so that you can make yourself familiar with the protocols that are in place and pick up your personal target face and pins. The clubhouse remains closed except for emergency and/or first aid access. Please be aware that during weekday sessions the clubhouse may not be open.

Many will still be understandably nervous about lockdown easing, and may not be ready to venture out yet, but if and when you would like to come back and shoot at GAC, you will be very welcome, and we hope that you will find the arrangements in place reassuring.
