YOU could teach beginners (and get cake!)

We were all introduced to archery by someone who gave up time to share their experience and love of the sport with us, many of us at GAC – could you return the favour?

With a bit of help and guidance from our club coaches and experienced instructors, teaching the basics of archery to beginners need not be difficult and is great fun to do.

I am sure that many of you would like to help, but are concerned that you don’t have the experience or confidence to be an instructor, so the club is putting on a short introduction and demonstration to try and reassure you that it is quite straightforward and that everyone is more than capable of helping. Both senior and junior members can teach, all you need is over 6 months shooting experience, a bit of patience and happy smile!

MAKE A DATE – COME TO THE CLUB ON THE 5th OCTOBER!

Please come down to the club on Saturday the 5th October between 10.30 and 12.00 and join us for a guide to how our beginners courses work and a demonstration of the basics of instruction.

Even if you are unsure about standing on the line and teaching, there are plenty of other support and administration tasks that need to be done for a successful course, for which we always need volunteers!

The club will provide teas, coffees and cakes as an extra incentive!
