Clout Shoot 2023
On Tuesday evening, a group of archers enjoyed a Clout Shoot in the grounds of Charterhouse School, Godalming.
This unusual form of archery involved shooting arrows high into the air to land near a small flag in the distance.
Steve Tully organises these events, including laying out the field with three shooting lines: 180 yards, 140 yards and 100 yards from the flag.
New for this year was a special Clout Cake from Bronwen, tastefully decorated by Stuart.
The overall winner, presented with the Colin Ellsley Trophy, was Richard Downes.
