The Blade's Hunting Report: 12/14

■ Ohio deer seasons: The final two days of the two-part deer gun season for hunters in Ohio take place Saturday and Sunday. The most recent count, which is current as of Tuesday, shows that hunters in the Buckeye State have harvested 146,799 white-tailed deer in the state since the archery season opened on Sept. 30. Archery hunters have taken 68,915 deer, while the gun and archery hunters have taken a combined 63,966 antlered deer and 82,833 antlerless deer. The Ohio archery season continues through Feb. 4, while the muzzleloader season runs Jan. 6-9.
