Snowfall on and off in the Northern French Alps next week! We needed more snow and we got it! Winter returned with a vengeance last Tuesday and Wednesday, bringing plenty of fresh snow accompanied by wild north-westerly winds.
The avalanche bulletin for today is really quite blunt and simple click here. All aspects of all slopes have a high risk of avalanche due to the volume of fresh snow that has fallen and is still falling, plus there is a weak layer.
Hoping for snowfall in the Northern French Alps at the start of next week! Unfortunately temperatures are becoming mild for the time of season again, but altitudes above 1600 m should benefit from this fresh snow.
