Skydive New Zealand becomes the only operator in New Zealand to offer the rare experience of tandem skydiving from 10,000ft out of a helicopter to thrill-seeking customers visiting the most scenic, top skydiving locations in the South Island.

Joining the few commercial operators worldwide to offer the uniquely exhilarating experience, Skydive New Zealand are excited to launch the new product at their iconic bases in Franz Josef and Pukaki, Skydive Franz Josef and Skydive Mount Cook, with plans to expand in the future.

An established part of the industry leading INLFITE Group, who‘ve been successfully delivering extraordinary helicopter, fixed-wing and skydive experiences across New Zealand since 2012, Skydive New Zealand are highly qualified to deliver a product of this calibre.

‘Our team have extensive experience in both helicopter operations and skydiving in New Zealand.’ says Skydive NZ’s Parachute Operations Manager, Henry Morgan.

We’re stoked to utilise our highly experienced teams and become the home of helicopter skydiving in NZ. All our staff are pumped to be involved and to be able to expand our portfolio to offer our customers such a unique type of jump at the best drop zones in the country.’

Holding knowledge of the specifics around every aspect of delivery – jumpers can feel confident boarding helicopters that are specially equipped for skydiving, and find comfort and safety at every point of their experience in the hands of the high-altitude experts.

Outside of being one of the most epic and unique ways to experience a skydive for first time jumpers and even seasoned pro’s, Helicopter skydiving has many added benefits over the more typical airplane option.

The speed of a helicopter means a short and smooth flight to altitude where the machine comes to a near-hover before a launch with less air rushing past than the traditional plane exit.

It’s an unparalleled experience all round’ says Henry.

The 10,000ft Helicopter Tandem Skydive costs $799pp, which includes an instructor camera package to ensure customers walk away with plenty of images and videos to prove they got the closet a human can get to actually flying.

Bookings are open now and can be made here or by calling Skydive New Zealand on +64 800 458 677
