Pete Literally Said "Why Not?" When Asked If He Was Ready for a Relationship on The Bachelorette

After heading on a final skydiving date with Becky, Pete struggled to communicate how he was feeling on The Bachelorette.

Picnicking together afterwards, Becky pressured Pete to open up to her, trying to get some reassurance that he was even interested in her at all.

"I feel like there's so much potential here in us," Becky said, before saying she's unsure if Pete is even into her. "I'm a little bit scared because we're at our last date but I feel like you're holding back a little bit."

"I absolutely have feelings for you," Pete said, explaining he didn't want to get hurt considering his past experience (he's currently going through a divorce from journalist Kate Freebairn).

Becky asked if he was ready for his next major relationship, and Pete replied too casually, "Yeah, why not?"

"I'll never know if I'm ready or not," he added.

But none of his underwhelming words were comforting to Becky, who was looking for more of an emphatic yes from a man that she was considering uprooting her life for.

It's the end of The Bachelorette! Becky deserves someone who's going to sit there and share all his big feelings with her!
