EC iDM Wärmepumpen VSV is seeking a highly motivated and development-oriented U20 Head Coach to join our organization for the upcoming season.

Contract Details

• Start Date: August 2026
• Duration: Until the end of the 2026/27 season (July 2027), full-time position / 40 hours per week
• Extension Option: The club reserves the right to extend the contract for an additional season based on a positive evaluation by the Head of Player Development and the club board
• Compensation: Remuneration is commensurate with qualifications and experience, with the possibility of overpayment for highly qualified candidates, for a position at a senior/managerial level
• Termination Clause: Either party may terminate the agreement at the end of any month with a one-month notice period

Key Duties

• Serve as Assistant to the Head of Player Development (Nachwuchsleiter)
• Act as Head Coach of the U20 Team (on-ice & off-ice)
• Work as a Skills & Development Coach across junior teams (Prospects & Bambinis to U20), with 4 on-site days per week
• Manage administrative tasks within the junior program (e.g., scheduling ice times, calendar coordination)
• Prepare materials and reports for meetings with parents, management, and stakeholders
• Conduct team meetings and regular 1:1 player development discussions
• Design and implement individual development plans for high-potential players, including evaluation and reporting to:
o Head of Sports (Herbert Hohenberger)
o Pro Team Assistant Coach (Marco Pewal)

Responsibilities

• Lead development of junior players already under contract with the professional team (skills, mental performance, off-ice development)
• Deliver on-ice and off-ice coaching for U20, including summer training programs
• Support and contribute to younger age groups across the organization
• Conduct video analysis (team performance & individual player development)
• Support knowledge transfer within the coaching staff (“Coach-the-Coach”) in coordination with the Head of Player Development
• Maintain close collaboration with:
o Pro Team Coaching Staff
o Alps Hockey Affiliate (EK Die Zeller Eisbären)
• Assist in player scouting and continuous development monitoring of junior players
• Utilize and manage digital coaching tools such as CoachThem and SportsContract

Profile & Requirements

• Strong background in player development and coaching
• Valid Ice Hockey A-License
• Experience working with elite junior athletes
• Ability to combine coaching, mentoring, and administrative tasks
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• High level of commitment, professionalism, and teamwork
• Familiarity with modern coaching tools and video analysis systems is an advantage
